Our founder, Christian Tapia, grew up in Bolivia watching his grandmother ferment goods. As a boy, he didn’t consider it much. After all, it was just what she did, and others around her did the same. Years later, now an adult living in the United States, Christian began selling honey from an organic Bolivian farm. He was passionate about it, but sales were flagging and he felt his confidence waning. What could he do to convince customers that the honey was worthwhile?

Suddenly, memories from his boyhood with his grandmother provided a bolt of inspiration. He decided to use his instinctual knowledge of fermentation to create a hibiscus tea utilizing his Bolivian honey to demonstrate one of the many beneficial uses of the product. He began bringing samples of his tea to farmers’ markets, and to his surprise, customers clamored for the tea instead of the honey. 

Soon after, he formed AgroIndustries Rosas and began experimenting with probiotic elixirs and concentrates. Despite a background in chemistry, Christian found himself leaning on his intuition instead of his education to create products. Unconsciously, he began constructing tonics and elixirs using Fibonacci Proportions–nature’s Golden Ratio. This, combined with the dedication to utilizing ingredients in their raw, natural forms, highlights the attitude of simplicity Rosas embodies. Life is complicated enough.

Christian himself is a testament to this philosophy of healing through simplicity. With Rosas’ products, he has completely transformed his digestive system and fulfilled his dream of competitive distance running. As a boy, he could barely run a mile. Now, at over fifty, he has competed successfully in over twenty marathons and ultramarathons.
